StatusPost Production Cast Yû Aoi, Teruyuki Kagawa Company Comme des Cinémas The Basics In October 2007 Michel Gondry filmed a segment of Tôkyô!, a triptych flick in the same vein as New York Stories or Paris, je t'aime. Tôkyô! will tell three separate tales of the Japanese capital, one by Gondry, one by Leos Carax, and one by Bong Joon-Ho, each of whom was given "liberal access" to city locations. Gondry's segment, "Interior Design" (formerly "Hiroko & Akira in Tokyo") was written by Gondry and comic author Gabrielle Bell, and is based on Bell's story "Cecil and Jordan in New York." Gondry told MTV the story is "about a girl [Ayako Fujitani] who tries to move into Tokyo with her boyfriend, and she can't find an apartment or a job. She eventually turns into a chair." Gondry was, at one time, set to direct a segment of Paris, je t'aime.
