Paul Gondry is Michel's teenage son. He can be spotted in Michel's Directors Label DVD, as well as in his videos for Steriogram, The Willowz, and the White Stripes.
A comic of Paul's, entitled Tales of the Fifth Dimension, appeared in the April 2005 Filter. This is Michel's note from the magazine: "This is the latest from my son, Paul. He is always late with his homework, but he would set an alarm clock at 5 a.m. to spend three hours finishing his art project before he goes to school. Everything he has ever done has been character-based -- always looser, absurd, rejected and funny. Rabbits, shoes, craps, old ladies, flies -- all creatures have been scrutinized in his twisted eye to reveal their differences."
In July 2007, Paul made his music video debut with an animated video for The Willowz titled "Take a Look Around" - a sometimes-gory tale of war between robotic soldiers and mutants, with a heaping helping of apocalypse and anti-consumerism.
Paul will make his feature film debut with an animated feature co-directed with his dad. More info.
