Nike ·· The Long, Long Run

According to director-file.com: ----- Nike: Heaven This is part two in a three-part campaign. Part 1 "The Long, Long Run" was directed by one Joe Public, Part 3 "GP Vs Holyfield" by Dante Ariola. ----- After some searching, I found out that the campaign was for the Nike Alpha Project. I found screenshots and info here about "Heaven" from clipland.com: Company: Nike - Alpha Project Clima Fit Lite Jacket Name: Heaven Year-Date: 1999 Agency: Wieden & Kennedy, Amsterdam Director: Joe Public Stills one, two, three. What?! Director: Joe Public? After more searching, I found another web site here with screenshots and info. Yes, it also claims that the director of "Heaven" is Joe Public. How could this be? Could director-file.com be wrong?! I also found two very credible sources that claim Michel Gondry actually directed Nike's "The Long, Long Run": 1 - NIKE LONG LONG RUN worldwide Directed: MICHEL GONDRY 1998 Produced: partisan midi minuit Service CDP Agency WILDEN & KENNEDY 2 - [Levi's Swap campaign, quite interesting document] Avec cette publicité, Michel Gondry entre dans le Guiness Book des Records, en tant que le réalisateur d'une publicité qui a gagné le plus grand nombre de prix, y compris le Lion d'Or à Cannes, 3 récompenses d'argent à D&AD et le prix de la meilleure campagne à BTAA. Il a gagné de nombreux autres prix publicitaires pour « Sirènes » de Levi'sâ, « Smarienburg » de Smirnoff, « Resignation » de Polaroïd et « Long Run » de Nike. OK, so maybe Gondry did direct "The Long, Long Run." But where is the video? I searched for "Nike" at adeater.com (they got 700 000 commercials, excellent site!). They got dozens of Nike ads, but only two of them are for "Nike Alpha Project". One of them is this one: 1999 - international NIKEAIR ZOOM Sector: clothing, shoes & accessories Advertiser: NIKE Brand: NIKE Product: sports shoes Slogan: NIKE ALPHA PROJECT. Ad Agency: WIEDEN & KENNEDY Length: 30 Direct link to Gondry's commercial here. Unfortunately the info does not contain the name of the commercial, but when you check it out, it should become obvious why I believe it is "The long, long run" (even the slogan of the ad is "pour courir longtemps", which means "for long runs". -- Ralf P.S.
