	News 7 December 2007 "INDEPENDENCE" COMING TO DVD Now that Declare Independence, Michel Gondry's 7th Björk video is released, it's time to own it! The video will be released as part of a CD/DVD set that will hit store shelves in the UK on 1 January 2008. The CD includes remixes by Mark Stent, Matthew Herbert, and Ghostigital. Die-hard Björk fans are in luck: you can pick up a limited edition double pack that includes the 12" version and special artwork. (via Pitchfork) 6 December 2007 DECLARE INDEPENDENCE! We've got a five-minute preview of Michel's 7th Björk video courtesy the folks at AOL, who will premiere the video on 6 December. In the clip Michel talks about how he came up with the idea for the video. It also includes his sketches, footage from the video and some behind the scenes action. UPDATE: AOL'S Quicktime copy of this is here. 15 November 2007 INDEPENDENCE COMING IN DECEMBER For those eager to see the new Björk video, your wait is almost over! According to a post on Bjork's website, Declare Independence will premiere exclusively on AOL in the beginning of December. In the meantime, you can see several images from the video here. If you're wondering what happened to the previous post about photos from the shoot, it will return when the video makes its premiere. 5 October 2007 DECLARE INDEPENDENCE UPDATE Word from MTV.ca is that Michel will be directing his seventh Björk video Declare Independence at the end of this month. (Thanks, Julien!) 6 June 2007 BJÖRK VIDEO SHOOT PUSHED BACK I have word from two sources that Declare Independence has experienced scheduling conflicts. The video was set to shoot this week in London, but has been rescheduled because of Volta's outstanding international chart success, which has amped up Björk's promotion schedule. This according to a statement from One Little Indian, forwarded kindly to Director File by Julien. Production is now set for sometime in August. Instead, Björk and her record label have decided to release Innocence as the next single, which will come packed with a fan-created video. 17 May 2007 BJÖRK VIDEO UPDATE A quick status check on Declare Independence from bjork.com: "Nothing can be confirmed for a second single, but we hear that Michel Gondry and Björk are throwing ideas at each other. Which is good!" 9 May 2007 MICHEL REUNITES WITH BJÖRK! It's been nearly a decade since Michel and Björk last made a video together, for the whopper known as Bachelorette, and finally they are teaming up again for the second single off of her new album Volta: Declare Independence!
