Editing of Lauri Faggioni's video for Devendra Banhart's A Ribbon was completed in October 2004, and according to mvwire.com, the video features "animation of the titular ribbon traveling through a seascape and into the woods until it sails into Devandra's mouth."

According to sources, "Lauri heard the song and came up with the idea, and Michel loved it! It took 2.5 months to shoot and Lauri and her assistant Lili made everything by hand. It was definitely a labor of love from everyone that worked on it and everyone seems proud of the outcome."

Asked for a story, our source gives this: "They wanted to shoot Devendra's shadow at night in the forest of the south of France, where Michel was doing his animation this summer for his next movie Science of Sleep. Although Devendra tried, the location was so remote they couldn't seem to find each other, so Lauri shot Michel's shadow instead."

The video was presented by Lauri at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) on January 17th and 19th.
