"Life in Flatzone is hopelessly mundane. The 2-D police crushed everyone and everything into their miserable format: flat." Flatzone is another of Gondry's adventure ads, this time involving a three-dimensional woman who is trying to thwart the authorities, who are effectively erasing everyone's individuality, dumping 3-D people into garbage trucks and pressing them flat in their factory.
This commercial is a visual treat. For Flatzone, Gondry and the special effects team create a whole new environment and play with as many of its laws as can be done in a single minute.
