Chris Cunningham's signature style is sound mapped onto image. His imagery is borne of piping sound through his visual cortex, and seeing what comes up.

When pushed to its comedic extreme, this technique becomes Clip Clop, a commercial Cunningham directed for London's XFM, 104.9. The ad is a trek through various scenes. Yet the sounds that naturally emanate from such things as a car horn, a ball bouncing, or a dog peeing, turn into a sheep's bleating, glass breaking, and gunfire.

The ad is rather comical, and suggests XFM's alternative style, as do the words "Alternative Sounds for London" and "London's Only Alternative," which scan onto the screen like those in Come to Daddy's intro.
